Neolithic Essay, Mesopotamia Blank Packet

The Neolithic Essay will be due on Wednesday in Google Docs.  Please check to make sure that you have shared it with us (hahnkav@bmchsd.org). **If you shared it once, please do not do so again. 

We highly recommend that you come to see us for extra help TODAY.  Ms. Hahn will be in the Library 5th period and Rm 127 after school. Mrs. Kavanagh will be in B166 both 5th period and after school for extra help.  There is no extra help tomorrow.

Advocate Decision Making: Neolithic Revolution--Great OR Not

Homework: Click HERE for a blank copy if you misplaced yours or were absent today.

Judges: On your advocate sheet, come up with 5 questions to ask the advocates.  Do not complete the second part of the page. You will do that during class.
For example:
Name two ways that farming was a more efficient way of getting food than hunting and gathering (for advocates of farming).  Name two ways that hunting and gathering provided a better lifestyle than farming (for advocates against farming).

Advocates: You were given a side to advocate for (for Farming or against farming).  Completely fill out the advocate sheet in order to be prepared for the argument.

Neolithic Homework

Complete the documents on pg. 15 in the packet. You should write in complete sentences.

Summer Essay due tomorrow

Complete, edited summer essays are due tomorrow. You do not need to print it out. Make sure that you have shared it in google docs.

In the Lab, When you are finished...

Click HERE to go on a virtual tour of the Lascaux Cave in France. 

Once you have visited, click HERE and post 3 comments that would describe what life was like for those who lived in these caved.  How did they survive? How did they build? Who was in charge? etc.

Summer Essay Update

After today in the computer lab, students should have the majority of their essays completed.  They should finish their rough draft tonight for homework because we will be doing peer editing in class tomorrow.  The final essay is due on Friday.  Tomorrow is our last day to work in the computer lab.

Summer essay homework

Today in the computer lab, students started their summer essays in Google docs. Students can access their work at home by logging into their student email from the Bellmore-Merrick homepage. We will be working on the essays again tomorrow in the lab, but students should have the first TWO paragraphs finished tonight.
